Why use The IT Training Surgery?
Get improved performance with targeted IT Training
If you find that some of your staff spend much more time processing information than they need, simply because they don’t know how to automate their tasks with just a few clicks of the mouse, you’ll find a skills upgrade will help.
Using the IT Training Surgery team to help means you can choose the training you need :– Start from scratch with a Standard Course aimed at providing the learners with a thorough understanding of the application – whether that’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook or any of the other packages we support.
- Tell us what kind of work most of your people do and let us design a bespoke programme that is aimed at achieving specific outcomes.
- Give us a date and a room with a computer, and we’ll run a Training Surgery where people book a session to deal with their specific challenges. It might take two minutes or twenty to show them what they need to know, but they get exactly what they need when they need it.
Or you can create an annual training contract that may include a mix and match version of any of the above.
Below is a video where Shelley Fishel can be seen delivering training on a number of subjects.
Meet our Trainers
Mike has been training Microsoft Products for many years and has worked with The IT Training Surgery since its inception. He always gets great results from his training.
Mike delivers Microsoft Office training at all levels including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access and added to this is his ability to deliver Microsoft Project training.
As with all of our trainers, Mike works well in any environment.
In my early working life I recall training in IT or technical subjects always being so boring, not because of the content, but by the way it was delivered. When I moved into the training profession I knew it was down to me to make training fun and enjoyable, as well as meeting the need for skills development.
Hopefully, I have achieved this in my delivery, as my feedback indicates so!
Kevin trains all the Microsoft Office products and is comfortable in any environment whether that be a large corporate enterprise or a small charity. Kevin’s specialities are Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and database design.
I enjoy IT training in a classroom situation because of the interaction between myself and the learners, finding out what their objectives are, what they already know, sharing knowledge and guiding them to fulfil their training objectives. Outside of training I enjoy swimming up and down, cycling from side to side and walking to and fro but preferably not altogether on the same day!
Paul delivers excellent Advanced Excel training alongside the rest of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. He also trains our VBA courses and Visio Courses. Friendly and fun.
Pat is an experienced and versatile Certified IT Training Professional (TAP and TPMA Certified, MOS Expert). He is expert at working on his own initiative in a variety of disciplines including negotiation, preparation and delivery of high-quality training. He has seen projects through their full life cycle from tender to evaluation.
Pat also delivers our Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator courses alongside HTML and Adobe Premiere and Auditions. In his spare time, Pat makes award winning films and takes stunning wedding photographs.
Shelley Fishel has more than a dozen years experience in helping people to get more from their computers. After working for an IT training organisation Shelley decided to ‘do her own thing’ when she realised the limitations of delivering standard courses.
“Why waste time and money on training people in areas that aren’t relevant to them? It’s common sense to invest that time and effort on what they really need.”
That was the ‘lightbulb moment’ and the IT Training Surgery’s unique approach has resulted in a growing business with a team of highly qualified IT trainers.
“If trainees get bored they forget most of what they learn. We like to offer a range of training approaches to suit different people and, most of all, we aim to make training fun!”
Shelley and her team have worked hard to achieve accreditation by the Learning and Performance Institute for the IT Training Surgery, as a recognised high quality provider of IT training,
Shelley is highly visible on social media and has a reputation as the source of an endless stream of tips and techniques. She has a legion of raving fans who are confident that she can find a quick way to do virtually anything!
“Most things are pretty simple – but you don’t know what you don’t know. It’s very rewarding when you teach people how to do something in two or three clicks that they have previously taken hours to do. After all, who wants to spend their life slaving over a hot keyboard?”
Shelley is Fellow of The Learning and Performance Institute and a Certified Live Online Learning Facilitator. Shelley is also a Certified Designer of Online Learning.
