Here I will show you how to format a bulleted or numbered list in Microsoft Word 2010.

Changing the style of bullets

  1. Select the bulleted list to change
  2. Go to the Home tab on the ribbon
  3. Go to the Paragraph group
  4. Click on the down arrow next to the Bullets icon (1)
  5. Select a Bullet from the Bullet Library (2)
  6. If you don’t like any of these bullets, click on Define New Bullet (3)
  7. Click on the Symbol or Picture button (4)
  8. Select a symbol of your choice (5)
  9. Click OK
  10. Click OK

Changing the number style of a list

  1. Select the numbered list to change
  2. Click on the down arrow next to the Numbering icon (1)
  3. Select a numbering style from the Numbering Library (2)
