Quick Tip for Microsoft Excel 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar  is where you can store and use shortcuts to Excel functions you use most often.  Here are some steps to follow for customising your Quick Access Toolbar:

Customising the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)

To add a function you use often to the Quick Access Toolbar:

  1. Click on the drop down arrow (1)
  2. Click on the function you would like to add (2)

The function will then appear as a button on the QAT

Adding a Less Common Function to the Quick Access Toolbar

  1. Click on the QAT drop down arrow (1)
  2. Click on More Commands (2)

ExcelQAT3

  1. Choose the command category from the drop down list (1)
  2. Click to select the command you want to add to the Quick Access Toolbar(2)
  3. Click on Add (3)
  4. Click on OK (4)
