Video Tip: Format Painter in Excel 2010

Format Painter in Excel

Most people who know about Format Painter think of it in relation to Microsoft Word. They don’t realise that there is a Format Painter option in Microsoft Excel as well. Not only that, it exists whether you are using Excel on Windows or Mac. The video tutorial below shows you how to use it in Windows, but it works exactly the same on Mac and it works in all versions.

Use Format Painter in Excel 2010 to copy formats from one place to another. Simply select the cell whose formatting you wish to copy, click the Format Painter Icon and then click on the cell where you want the format to appear. The video tutorial will show you how to do this.
