Quick Tip for Microsoft Word 2010
Word 2010 allows you to add page numbers to a document quickly and easily.
To insert page numbering
- Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon
- Go to the Headers and Footers group
- Click on the Page Number button (1)
- Choose Top of Page, Bottom of Page, Page Margins or Current Position (2)
- Select the style of page numbering you would like (3)
To format the page numbering
- Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon
- Go to the Headers and Footers group
- Click on the Page Number button
- Select Format Page Numbers, and a dialog box will appear
- Select Number format
- Select if you want the page numbering to start at a particular number (e.g. 2 or 5, etc.)
- Click OK
